Although in Miami we do not have the privilege of experiencing Fall (or any season other than Summer) it doesn’t mean we can’t wish we did! I know a lot of you prefer Spring/Summer over Fall/Winter, but I don’t know if it’s the holidays or the colors I find fashion and beauty trends more intriguing during this time of the year. From the deep tones, bold and rich fabric, and the layering, Fall is one of those seasons where its almost like playing dress up. You could get away with mens wear inspired pieces and its ok. The styles are more conservative and sophisticated, I think that is what I admire the most. Shoes are always a great form of expression and a way to sort-of step out of your comfort zone. For the record, “No White After Labor Day” is non-existent or should I say, “forgiven” this season. White boots in different styles are a hit. Mixtures of creams and whites add a touch of elegance to any look. Don’t be afraid to combine both, have fun with it! I do recommend you have a Tide-To-Go handy though lol. You just never know!
Pointy-toe flats are anything but ordinary this season and are a great alternative. Whether you are going for a more serious or casual look, there are plenty of styles to choose from. Like the
Valentino Rockstud Ballerina, flats with studs and embellishments can easily be worn for a night out when comfort is your main priority. You can also find some with lace, straps, and different prints. Get creative!
Although boots are fun, heels with straps are great to show off your toes while you still can (for those who live in frigid cold areas). Straps always add a nice touch to a sandal, which is considerable if you have plans after work and need a quick change. Day or night, chelsea boots are the way to go for a touch of cozy and chic this season. Ranging in different styles for every liking; such as, patent leather, suede, velvet, calf hair, and leather. Pair them with your favorite trousers or a long skirt. This is the ankle boot of choice for Fall!
