Now, I may not know much about proper hiking gear or hiking in general BUT I do know comfortability. Fun fact: wandering through nature is something I truly love so when looking at different villages to visit during my trip in Guatemala, this place was at the top of my list. After the topsy-turvy 3-hour drive from the capital (city) to Panajachel and the passing of heavy rain, we ventured into the Nature Reserve of Atitlán.

Probably what I dislike most about traveling is pre-styling outfits and it especially drags more when the destination you’re traveling to is currently on the opposite time of year. Right now winter season is in full effect in Guatemala — cool mornings, gloomy afternoons, rain and plenty of humidity. So, in order for my outfits to make sense I needed to consider comfortability (of course) and slightly warm pieces yet light-weight enough to survive the sticky humidity. Solution to my style task? A quarter-length top, shorts and a layered piece make up the ideal combo.
